And we’re back down

It has been under two days and our cable internet is back out. I am told that the modem is fried. Here’s the thing: when we moved here I couldn’t find my Motorola cable modem and ended up leasing one from Comcast. We have since found it (we’ve done A LOT of unpacking). So upon discovery of a craptastic dead modem, I thought this would be an excellent time to switch from their modem to mine and save $5 per month. Unfortunately, it isn’t that simple. They can’t activate my modem until they have theirs back. So I can take it back tomorrow or wait until Friday when the cable guy comes to test the line. Either way, I have no internet tonight.
