Ed seems like a nice guy. Many in the community are great. I just found the substance of the training to be quite lame.

I said it all in my post so I just wanted to say thanks for the link and good luck in your online travels.

I know there are very basic beginners taking this challenge. I just wish that the expectation would have been set for the rest of us. I was under the impression that Day 1 would start with a “bang!”, not a fizzle. I also was under the impression that the pre-season was to help get the beginners up to speed so that Day 1 wouldn’t be more “basics”.

I’m mostly upset because I know you guys are capable of producing much higher quality material. Up until a month or two ago, I was a paying subscriber to The Immediate Edge. When I heard that Dan partnered with you to head up the Thirty Day Challenge, I got pretty excited. I was expecting content that was of the same caliper of the Immediate Edge Newsletter. I guess I expected a lot.

Regarding Google Trends. Yes, it is good material for beginners, but hardly news for SEOs and SEMs who’ve been using it since the day it launched. While it’s a basic indicator to determine if a niche is worth pursuing, there are other methods available too.

Still, I respect you in that you take criticism very well. I didn’t mean for this to be a bash of the TDC. They’re mostly just rantings of how I felt let down. I’ll reserve further comment until after the 30 days are over.

I’m also a little disgruntled because I used to do business coaching, specifically Internet Business Coaching, for a living. This 10 days of content has been stretched out and watered down. We should only be on day 3 or 4 at this point, especially since there was such a huge “pre-season” build-up.

Mate you hit the nail on the head with this paragraph.

Of course you could do what we have taken TEN whole days to show you in probably a couple of hours.

There are thousands of absolute beginners doing the challenge – after all thats who it’s for beginners.

You haven’t picked up anything? Gtrends didn’t raise an eyebrow?

I think the thing for Pro’s like yourself the opportunity to mentor complete beginners into the amazing world they we spend our days in – it sure beats fried chicken for a living!

And if you pick up a couple of cool tricks along the way thats a bonus.
