Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone had a GREAT HOLIDAY! For us, it was an ok holiday but a holiday nonetheless. Always nice to have the day off. I wouldn’t complain, but, ok I’m a complainer:
One thing I discovered is that the city of Henderson Nevada really sucks on implementing celebrations for the 4th of July. No parades(!) for the kids in the morning, a really lame “concert in the park” featuring a jazz band disclaimer: music wasn’t bad, just the whole event was) and 5 concession stands with very long lines, in which we waited 45 minutes for snow-cones. The fireworks display was decent, but not choreographed to music. And they packed everyone in Anthem park which is the absolute least efficient park for traffic flow. Driving through the Anthem labyrinth took us an hour, AND WE LIVE IN ANTHEM! We literally were less than 2 miles away from the celebrations.
All in all, the holiday was good and relaxing until the end. We won’t be attending Henderson festivities ever again.
