Free Links Friday, episode #4

Once again it’s Friday, and once I again I have some fried-up spam to serve you. Here’s today’s Top 10 Links for Free Links Friday!

To start things out we’re going to play a little RPG.
Ultima Online
will be the game of choice. Just remember where you parked your dragon. “Dude? Where’s my Dragon?”

While we’re on the subject of Video games, have you heard of 360 Voice? It’s the little man inside your Xbox 360 and he has a lot to say about how much you suck at gaming.

A friend wanted to test me so he told me to link to the King of Beers. Ok, that was easy an easy test. But I still won’t give links to WIN sites.

I previously blogged about this, but couldn’t pass it up for an edition of Free Links Friday. Joeychgo figured out that
Google really is b0rked. And Minstrel tells us Google is trying to use index backups that are a year old. Google: you’s got some ’splaining to do.

Be sure to check out Todd’s interview at SEOBuzz. He thinks Google is broken too.

John wants us to have a poke at Jellyfish. I have a look and say meh.

Hey, its not just google. Feedburner is broken too.

Oh, and so is Digg.

And there is a really cool new company to host your resumewith. I think I will (and I’ll be sure to review it when I do.).

Lazy? Wanna make money? Then you might just be a seriel entreprenuer. Fred Gratzon gives you top 10 warning signs to look out for. Quite a silly read too.

That’s it! Come back next week for more!

Yes Virginia, Google IS Broken.

Joeychgo, who is also a member of Digital Point Forums, wrote a pretty nice summary of why he thinks google is broken. He talks about why he thinks something went badly wrong with the Big Daddy update and that google is hustling to recover index data from backups upto a year old. He also states observations about forums and sites that have gone supplemental, and that all their outgoing links were pretty much devalued once they did go supplemental. All that is left are links built by spammers and heavily indexed and aged sites.

This is a thought provoking article and I highly recommend the read. Also, if you are a member of Digg, please Digg it! (And I know that Digg isn’t the only news site in the world, believe it or not, so I seeded the article at Newsvine , reddit, and Netscape for users of those systems. If you use those systems, please vote!).
