Lesko is Ballmer’s Protegé

Lesko imitates Ballmer

I ran across a recent slashdotting that unearthed the ugly side of Steve Ballmer’s early sales years. I thought Microsoft would have been able to afford an advertising agency by Windows 1.1, but Steve decided to frontman his own commercial and attempt pitching the software himself. He pitches that the new desktop platform (running on what looks like an early IBM PS/2 PC, but my memory fades so I am most likely wrong) has a calendar, a clock, write, paint, and Reversi! Cut, copy and paste were new concepts to the DOS masses, so he demonstrates how to paste a Miami Vice ferrari into Lotus 1-2-3. You know, for leisure suit wearing executives of the 80′s who wanted that type of thing.

He gets so excited and into the commercial that he starts throwing cash, actual dollar bills, into the air! Remind you of anyone?
